Ngong Hills ridge hike
The seven ‘knuckles’ you can see from half of Nairobi, walked end to end. The city on one side, the Rift Valley falling away on the other, and the wind turbines turning above you.
Ngong Hills is the hike most Nairobi people do first, and it earns its reputation. The ridge rolls up and down over the knuckles, so you are never climbing for long, but by the end you will have done a lot of up.
It can be very windy on top and there is almost no shade, so bring a jacket and sunscreen. A ranger walks with every group. It is the rule here.
We drop you at one end and collect you at the other, so there is no walking back the way you came.
